ASAE Legislative Fly-In to Correspond with 2nd Annual Advocacy Week

A reminder that ASAE's 2005 Legislative Fly-In, American Associations (AA) Day, is scheduled for April 6-7, 2005! This annual program presents a terrific opportunity for association advocates to educate Members of Congress and their staffs about the critical issues and challenges facing associations. This year's Fly-In will kick off at noon on Wednesday, April 6, at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. Fly-In participants will be treated to advocacy from Capitol Advantage and the Showalter Group, and an issues briefing from ASAE staff. Then on Thursday, April 7, participants will go to Capitol Hill to meet with their Members of Congress. $300 travel scholarships are available to help offset costs, visit http://info.asaenet.org/pdf/AA_Day_Application.pdf.

Surrounding the Fly-In, ASAE, in partnership with Capitol Advantage, is launching the 2nd annual Advocacy Week. While Fly-In attendees are meeting face-to-face with their Members of Congress and communicating important association issues, Advocacy Week participants will be asked to support ASAE's efforts on Capitol Hill by sending letters and faxes and making phone calls to their Representatives and Senators. Learn more about Advocacy Week and register today, www.capwiz.com/asaeadvocacyweek.
