ASAE Submits Report to President's Tax Reform Panel

ASAE submitted a report to the President’s Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform examining the major tax restructuring proposals under discussion and their potential impact on associations and other nonprofit organizations.

The report, "Impact of Tax Restructuring Proposals on Associations," was prepared for ASAE by the accounting firm Tate & Tryon. The report looks at various forms of consumption taxes, including the concepts of a flat tax, a national retail sales tax, and the Simplified Unlimited Savings Allowance (USA) Tax, and gauges how each proposal is likely to impact trade and professional associations, and philanthropic organizations. The entire ASAE report can be viewed at: http://info.asaenet.org/pdf/TaxImpact_Restructuring_Proposals.pdf.
